ABOUT
Mepact is a drug used to treat bone cancer patients following surgical resection or amputation of a limb. It is simply added to whatever course of chemotherapy would normally be prescribed. It works by killing rogue cancer cells that could be released during surgery and be dispersed, via the bloodstream, to lodge and cause disease in other organs of the body. By doing so it significantly improves the chances of long-term survival.
