ABOUT

The Reo-Chair - The steel sunflower blooms out of the stone bud that sits in the garden.

The robust seat was thought out to be an extension at the grounds of a building with conventional construction materials such as concrete and steel. Yet the challenge remained to convert the robustness of the materials to a more pleasing and gentle aesthetics. The circular form of the seat took away the conventional forms that are expected from such materials, at the same time the colors added the value addition.

Steel rods are bent individually at particular angles and shapes to suit the ergonomics of a comfortable seat. These rods are placed in the hollow concrete base for a simple outdoor garden chair. A visually heavy chair that looks immobile is a mere 8 Kilos for a single person to lift on his/her own.
