ABOUT

NBCUniversal: In this Roger Federer documentary, real life footage was used for the title sequence but I created my own version, using only digital assets. Once I got the original sculpture models from Ugo Rondinone's studio, I reduced their geometry and placed them in these dramatic light-and-shadows atmospheric settings created with my own lighting and materials. All camera angles and motions were designed by myself as well. Finally, in post-production, I added depth of field, camera lens blur, optical flares, dust particles, textures, gradients, fog, volumetric lights, etc. I designed the sepia aesthetics to compliment the melancholic cello music provided by the producers of the film.
