ABOUT
APP EXPERIENCE
What if the best remedy is already in your pantry?
Nyume was born in London, where homemade treatments were widespread in my work and social circles, yet few people actually followed through.
They searched across blogs and social media, only to abandon the idea the moment an ingredient was missing.
I surveyed 93 people aged 20-44 and found that 78% gave up because of missing ingredients, and finding a single remedy often took over 10 minutes of fragmented searching.
I designed the entire product around that constraint.
Two flows for two mental models: start from what you have or start from what you need.
A 1+1 rule (one hero ingredient + one common base) keeps every remedy simple and actionable.
Result: from 10+ minutes of searching to 60 seconds to a remedy, measured in a hallway usability test.
The prototype video brings that logic to life.
NAMING + LOGO
The name Nyume echoes the pronunciation of "new me", paired with phonetic symbols that emphasize its sound. The drop represents the purity of water, evoking naturalness and care.
