ABOUT

Brief:

Design a marketing tool to promote Fedrigoni’s latest range of uncoated black papers and boards: Sirio Ultra Black.​​​​​​​

Solution:

Working as a team with fellow student Joe Hall, we both decided to focus on a marketing tool that designers and illustrators would appreciate and keep as this would best promote the range of new paper.

This calendar would serve its original purpose but also be something to cherish and keep. Because the paper is the darkest Fedrigoni has ever produced, we decided to exaggerate what that might mean visually.

Our idea focuses around the proposition that the paper could be 20% darker than words or items often associated with the word ‘black’. Because our promotional item was a calendar, we’ve fine picked twelve commonly associated words. So, we think the new Sirio Ultra Black paper is blacker than a...
