Dear Sir/Madam,
Having worked as an Copywriter Intern within a dynamic and successful start-up company, recently bought by telecoms giant PGi, I am experienced with both sub-editing online content and editing copy, as well as creating my own copy - an excellent combination for this role.
I was able to build on these skills through my editing responsibilities for my Students' Union. Yet it was during my time as assistant editor of Cardiff University's student magazine that my proof-reading and editing skills became highly accomplished.
As an English Literature graduate my communication skills, both written and verbal, are of an impeccable standard and I won a scholarship to study at the prestigious College of William and Mary in America in recognition of this.
I have always been an independent worker, willing and able to get on with the task at hand, yet it is my natural ability to get on well with others that proves to be one of my greatest assets, as it means I am an effective and confident networker.
I respond well under pressure as I have exceptional organisational skills, with scrupulous attention to detail in all that I do and I believe this, coupled with my editorial experience and communication skills, makes me a perfect fit for this position.
