While the authors are interested in a real representation of flowers -
photographing them close-up in their environment under natural light, the
flowers simultaneously appear subjective, being self-reflective. They explore
abstract values of not only what is our mind made of, but also of the mind
itself.
The authors present them as particular allegories of 'Thoughts' and 'Mind'.
While the rest of the allegories portray values of the mind, both rational and
irrational, such as 'Imagination,' 'Innovativeness,' 'Clarity' and 'Passion' and
irrational side - emotions, such as 'Melancholia,' 'Reverie,' 'Euphoria,' 'Agony,'
'Lost' and 'Hope.'
The allegories remind us that there is more than the mere manifestations of
life through physical forms, and that something that is obvious can have
another meaning in art. Beautiful forms and colours of flowers are as
sublime as the nature of human mind.
