ABOUT

Before selecting a region to work with I firstly needed to choose four subsequent
countries within that region that shared an established connection. Such a strong
concept indigenous to these four countries would support a correlated theme that
could be applied to the bottles design, creating a sophisticated and meaningful impact.
Research led me to the henna designs of Asia. The henna plant also like the fever tree
contains medicinal properties, as well as being used to create artistic designs on the
body. Henna tattoos are an integral part of my selected countries cultural
celebrations and rituals.

The key was to build my henna design concept into the existing brand requirements
whilst still achieving individual originality on the bottles but recognisable as a family
of four, retaining a strong sense of elegance and sophistication for the Fever Tree brand.
My colour selection for the bottle wrap, and caps compliments the black henna designs
and the provided brief labelling, its neutrality could also support other coloured labels
if necessary. Notably most Asian henna designs are created in black, all the patterns are
the same colour, but varied in execution, distinguishing between countries. I chose to
place the individual malaria affected countries names upon the bottles in order to
reaffirm the campaign brief. The idea of the wrap is to create a sense of intrigue and
design professionalism to the consumer.

I have also produced and submitted optional material, a demo bottle carrier, whose
functionality and design can be used to promote Fever trees limited edition ranges
and support the malaria campaign. Additionally I have submitted a series of slides
giving a visual presentation demonstrating how the product can be displayed and
advertised across multiple touch points, aiding product promotion and providing
a platform for MNMUK awareness via the many marketing channels.
