ABOUT

The European Premier of the more true to life tale of Pinocchio and his father. I played Geppetto and this role marked the first time I experimented with the Laban efforts as well as a complete use of transitive verbs to action the text.

I learned how difficult it is to stay rigidly to one's action verbs but attempted to be truthful to each one I had written. I realised that actioning the text, while effective as an experiment to see the numerous way a line can be delivered, is emotionally draining as you attempt to force yourself down the same route everytime. This led me to the conclusion that balance must be achieved between research and text work and listening and spontaneity.
