Dear Sir/Madam

I am writing to you in support of a job application within your company. I am a highly motivated and well organised individual who has a passion for technology and have recently gained a 1st Class Honours degree in Computer Science at the University of Chester.

Key aspects of the degree course which I feel would be of benefit in an IT Web technology role are Database Management, Advanced Programming and managing Web Based Environments, however, I do have a number of skills which I believe are transferable and not just useful within an IT role such as planning and analysis. As part of the degree programme I also had to build a small portfolio of websites in order to develop my skills, these consisted of sites for real and fictitious customers.

Whilst undertaking my studies at Chester University I also worked part time in a fast food restaurant and I believe I have developed a number of skills during this employment such as leadership, teamwork and coaching which would be transferable to other roles outside of the retail food industry.
