Dear Sir/Madam,

I would like to put myself forward for the role of Copywriter.

I believe I have the necessary experience and enthusiasm required for this role and what it takes to succeed.

I am an English Literature graduate and have always had a strong passion for the written word. I have a special talent for creating engaging content in both a personal and professional sphere, and know my skill for writing captivating copy could prove to be very beneficial in this role.

I have experience in raising brand awareness through implementing social media campaigns in both the leisure and publishing industries. I have used Twitter and Facebook to promote a busy bar and club venue in central London, and have proven experience in writing compelling copy that can attract and directly contribute towards the sales and success of a business.

I consider myself to be a progressive individual and a person who welcomes change. I am a keen blogger with my own personal blog, and also have experience in writing blog articles for a specific demographic and increasing website hits through an awareness of SEO.

I know how to use the correct words in the correct context to achieve the aims and targets set out for me, whether it is through social media, blogging, or even company newsletters and e-mails.

I think it is hugely important to be both creative and inventive in this industry, and these are qualities I have always possessed. I enjoy story telling through writing short stories, however, it is through spoken word and performance poetry - skills which demand a huge amount of inner 'fire' and creativity, as well as the ability to think on one's feet and to perform under pressure - where my talent lies most.

I have been working within Marketing for five years now. I am passionate about this industry and I am fully sure that copywriting is the career I want to inhabit. A career where I can build upon existing skills as well as learn new ones, and a career in which my talent and passion can be fulfilled.
