About me
Dear Sir or Madam,
I currently hold the position of Communications Support Officer at Sizewell A Nuclear Power Station in Suffolk. Following more than
18 months in this busy team I am now looking for an opportunity for career progression and a change of scenery. Please find attached a copy of my CV for your perusal.
I graduated from the University of Sussex in 2006 with a First Class Honours in Product Design BSc. It was the skills learnt in this diverse degree that enabled me to secure my position at Sizewell A. I decided to branch away from design, to the PR and Communications field because it seemed so much more interesting, and I haven't been disappointed. I have been able to bring something different to the team; using my creative background to complement my writing and communication skills.
I joined the team at a time when the station was ceasing nuclear generation, so there was a great deal of local and national media attention. This instantly aided my progression in the field, and my first six months ensured that I was competent in both internal and external communications.
After six months in the role I travelled the world for five months. This was an amazing time of my life, and I came back eager to make a difference in the world that I had learnt so much about. It has now been a year since returning from travelling and I am ready to apply my skills and experience to a new role.
If you have any questions about my CV please do not hesitate to contact me.
