About me

I have worked with a number of Media publications in order to gain experience. I have worked with Best Magazine, where I was able to learn first hand how a magazine is run, produced and distributed. I was also required to liaise with a number of departments, with has allowed me to develop my communication skills and telephone manor. I have also worked with a publication called Mediscript. This is a small Medical Publication. During my time with Mediscript, I worked on a paid basis in a variety of departments, from their public relations department, through to the busy telephone switchboard, which allowed me to develop my telephone manor and liaise with customers effectively. Working with both organisations allowed me to adapt very well to working to tight deadlines.

I have also worked for an office recruitment agency, Accountancy Action. This has allowed me to develop a variety of skills. During a number of placements for the agency, I was able to develop data inputting skills into a variety of data systems. I was also able to develop my communication skills even further, often conferring on a one to one basis with customers and other departments. One particular placement for the agency was for an interaction Business travel company, Carlson Wagon Lit travel. During my time with Carlson, I was required to contact an extensive list of customers (thousands) and communicate information about a new contract. This allowed me to develop my telephone manor to a very high standard, and allowed me to develop my data inputting skills.

I have also worked for tele-sales companies, selling by telephone, which provided me with extensive experience with working to targets and achieving them to my full potential and within the time set.

I have played for my University football team on a number of occasions, as well as variety of youth and Sunday league football teams. I feel that through sport, I have been able to develop my inter-personal skills and work effectively as part of a tea
