For this brief I had to create a new look and packaging for a familiar brand; to do this I had to choose two brands and combine them, for this I needed to research packaging design and two brands of my choice. I picked Easyjet and Galaxy chocolate; I used Easyjet’s visual language (font, colours etc) to create a new look for Galaxy. As well as the main box, I also had to make three smaller boxes that would fit inside the main box; these boxes were branded with Galaxy Caramel, Minstrels, and Ripple. The boxes were cut and assembled by hand; this was done to show us how to use a craft knife, if this was a real brief then I would have used a laser cutter or sent it off to a printing company because that would be faster and more precise. I think that my outcome has worked well because you can clearly see that it is Galaxy and Easyjet, it still looks like a chocolate brand, it looks professional, it is contemporary and simple, it is user friendly and easy to open, the packaging fits together perfectly, and it is clean and crisp considering that it was cut out by hand.
