ABOUT

This was a real brief that I was given by a small restaurant called Enzo based in Nantwich; they were looking at expanding and opening a new restaurant in Manchester. What they asked me to do was create some exterior concepts that would show what the new restaurant would look like from a persons perspective, and some simple illustrations to go on menu’s, awnings etc. I drew the exterior concept by hand using fine liners, I then scanned these outlines onto my computer, and then added the colours, typography, logo, and illustrations in photoshop. I like my exterior because it looks unique and modern, and at the same time it looks similar to their existing shop; creating the Enzo brand. As well as the 2 coffee cup barista art illustrations you can see in the illustration above, I also drew illustrations of cake’s, pizza, and pasta. The vector illustrations were created in Adobe illustrator and I really like these because of their simple and modern style, contemporary colour, and they match Enzo’s existing style. I really liked this project because unlike previous freelancing projects I’ve worked on, this one allowed me to do some of it by hand; not all of it was done on a computer. It was good to get some experience; seeing what a real live brief was like provided me with invaluable experience. This was also a really nice project to work on because it was based on food and drink; I’m really into nice quality food so any project that involves that is great to work on.
