ABOUT

For this brief I was required to combine my 3D graphic skills and printmaking/illustration skills to produce dynamic, unique, and contemporary packaging. For this I was given a choice of tea or seed packaging; after researching both I chose tea because it seemed more interesting, I had more ideas for it, and I have an interest in food and drink. I was then given the simple “T” logo, this inspired my design because of how simple it was; to go with the logo I created the simple kettle and teacup illustrations seen on the side. Inside the white outer sleeve the packaging is green; this was done not only because it is green tea, but because I wanted a bright contrasting colour to stand out against the white. If I had to make more of these I would use a laser cutter or get them professionally printed as it would be far faster and precise. I believe that the final outcome is good because I really like the simplistic style, it’s clean and crisp, the packaging fits together perfectly, the matchbox style is user friendly, the tea sachets match the rest of the packaging, and it is dynamic and contemporary.
