Filmmaker Jade Ang Jackman, who initiated the creative studio Babes with Blades to focus on showing diversity in dramatic action genres in movement-related projects, directed the music video. Together with Jackman and movement director Chantel Foo, Chua pays homage to cult action classics from the 2000s which featured hyper-stylised characters portrayed by Asian women. Films like Kill Bill, Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon, and Lady Vengeance left particularly deep impressions on Chua in her formative teenage years.

The music video also showcases innovative interpretations of Chinese fan dance combined with martial arts. In preparation for the single and the debut album, Chua returned to dance after several years, finding intuition and affirmation in the fluidity and naturalism of Chinese classical, fan & ribbon and contemporary.
