About me
I obtained my Gold Standard NCTJ diploma at NewsAssociates/Sportsbeat in Wimbledon and up until recently wrote part-time for a local news website on Merseyside called WirralPeople.
At WirralPeople I was required to research and develop stories independently as well as working as part of a team. This experience made me feel comfortable to work confidently when required to be self-reliant, but also knowledgeable about how to conduct myself effectively as part of a group. I very much enjoyed working with WirralPeople as it allowed me to write articles on relevant and topical issues for local people.
I currently work for Carr Farm Garden Centre which is an expanding business. I am involved in working with the PR department on tasks such as compiling and preparing advertisements, along with completing day to day tasks that ensure the smooth running of the company.
