About me

My name is Jack Fish, I am an interested and ambitious individual with a thirst to start my career in the creative industry. Having studied graphic design at degree level, I feel I am ready to take what I have learnt and apply it within a professional environment in order to create a lasting impression.

My degree was multidisciplinary and challenging and required a great deal of organisation in order to keep on top of a demanding and fast paced course structure. In the final year many of the briefs were self initiated which allowed me to work with a variety of mediums in order to produce a wide spectrum of work, both print based and digital.

Amongst my favourite self initiated projects was redesigning the Lord of the Rings book covers, I wanted to challenge my self in creating something to appeal to a new audience but without losing the established and dedicated following. I have since posted them online where they went viral and were showcased on several websites and blogs such as Shortlist.com. Since then Tolkien's French publisher has shown interested and would like to buy the rights for the paperback edition in France.

I really love the design process, seeing the initial idea develop into a finalised and refined piece of work, it's the satisfaction I draw from this that gives me my desire and drive to develop further as a designer. I'm currently looking for a junior role within a creative agency to kickstart my career and blossom as a creative professional.
