As a top graduate and Freelance Writer, I possess highly developed written communication skills; experience in promotional copywriting; and a track record of successfully planning and executing individual and team projects.

In my current role, as a Freelance Writer, I produce a range of quality content within strict deadlines, including marketing materials. I have worked on: promotional blogs and e-mails, SEO copywriting, editing and proofreading. The ability to adapt to the demands of each individual assignment, coupled with strong language skills and a keen eye for detail, ensure that I am able to tailor my communications to specific audiences. Having balanced this writing work with postgraduate research for over two years, I have also exhibited exemplary time management, administrative and organisational skills.

As a confident and capable self-starter, my studies and paid work have both required a great deal of self-motivation. I have always found that I perform best in positions that also make use of my capacity for communication and teamwork, however. Having served as an Editorial Board Member, I have gained experience of liaising with writers and editors; composing editorials; and preparing articles for online publication using HTML. I was also jointly responsible for organising a two-day academic event. This included liaising with my team and with guest speakers, in person and via e-mail, regarding all aspects of conference organisation; from budget, accommodation and catering to intellectual content. I was also instrumental in using social media to promote the aims of both the journal and the conference, creating and administrating Facebook groups for both.

My interpersonal and editorial skills have also proven central to my role as a Teaching/Research Assistant. I was asked to write two chapters for a course textbook, requiring me to refine and communicate complex ideas within an easy to understand format, a limited timeframe and with constant collaboration with, and feedback from, the senior editorial team.

Having proven myself to be a creative, talented and hardworking writer and editor, with a flair for lateral thinking and the ability to organise and deliver on both individual and team projects, I believe I possess the skills, aptitude and experience to carve out a long and successful career in copywriting.
