For years, big shoe brands and sneakerheads have unofficially been using the term 'Oreo' to describe shoes in a black and white colourway. Taking advantage of this cultural insight, every 'Oreo' shoe out there was turned into a digital two for one coupon for real Oreo cookies. The activation used innovative mobile technology to recognise the colour and shape of hundreds of thousands of trainers on the streets, in-store and even on websites. Every pair of trainers out there became a commercial channel for Oreo and Target to make sales and acquire new customers.
