ABOUT

The project was manly focused on paying homage to the late Mama Busi Mhlongo and also appreciating non mainstream influences. The name Urban Zulu comes from Mama Busi Mhlongo's smash hit album that was released in 1998 and that is where Papy Kawul got his fashion inspiration from and Urban Zulu Clothing was born.

We covered 10 creatives on this project each creative/ influencer was consulted and tailor made a garment that suited their personality, style, and body shape.
