ABOUT

A traditional water purification system capable of filtering 1.5 liters in just a few hours. The ceramic filter has the property of absorbing metallic and non-metallic impurities found in water. Thanks to the kaolin, (main raw material used in the manufacture of the ceramic filter) these impurities are firmly adhered to the surface of the kaolinite crystal, allowing its toxic and contaminants to be removed from the water. A great improvement in the quality of life of the people, reducing the expenditure on bottled water and making reliable the consumption of running water that reaches our homes.
The microporous quality of our jug gives unique properties to this elegant and functional design element. In contact with the outside ambient air, the filtering water evaporates through its walls, extracting part of the thermal energy stored in the container, producing cooling (2,219 kilojoules per gram of evaporated water).
Easy to use. Not need installation. Its small size and sanitary value make this product an essential element in any home.
Inspired by the Canarian “Destiladera” (common element in all the homes of the islands in the past), as well as in old traditional water purification systems developed by different cultures throughout history all over the world. DESTILADERA, borrows elements of medieval England, the water culture of al-Ándalus and the contemporary Japanese ceramics, to develop a new product, contemporary and functional design, adapted to our modern habits and accessible to all those interested in finding more traditional and sustainable ways of manage the resources that nature gives us.
