The artwork was mainly inspired in the Toile de Jouy decorative patterns, that were a very popular trend in late 18th century, especially in France and Great Britain. A "jungly" twist was added to it, creating an exotic atmosphere, with a nature-like feeling. The colors picked for chromatic studies — such as olive, chocolate, charcoal and khaki tones — are soft, mature and highly influenced by autumn.
