Position: Midweight Designer

Dear Sir/Madam,

I am writing in response to your recent job advert for the position advertised above. I am a customer focused, creative, interior design graduate and I am seeking an Interior Designer position in a highly reputable company. Given my current skill set and previous experience, I believe I am perfectly suited for this role.

I am currently working as a Freelance Designer and I have over 4 years' experience of working within the interior design industry. This involved working as an Interior Designer for businesses such as jewellery retailers, furniture/accessory shops and for hospitality establishments such as hotels, restaurants and bars.

In my current position, I have managed house renovation projects, this required me to lead on colour, materials and furniture selection as well as demonstrate my project manager skills via directing and supervising the art workers effectively.

Whilst working for Interni & Dintorni and Centro Veneto del Mobile, I was responsible for meeting and liaising with different suppliers, speaking with the sale representatives, collecting catalogues and samples of products. I managed many processes within the design stages from start to end. This included creating detailed drawings from the initial sketches in AutoCAD 2D and Sketch Up 3D and then presenting the images to the production department. I was also responsible for checking the quality of the finished product. Furthermore, when employed by I-Design, in addition to the duties previously mentioned I conducted research relating to furniture and accessory specifications, attended trade shows and participated in networking activities enabling me to build an online database containing details of up to 200 design related companies.

I also supported the Artistic Director via suggesting the right furniture to use as part of a project, taking into account budget limitations.

And lastly, I would like to say I am a highly organised professional, who can work well whilst working under immense pressure via implementing my project management skills. I am firmly motivated by new challenges and regularly keep up to date with the latest types of graphic design software to ensure I am continually updating my drawing skills.
