ABOUT

Concept
Pamana Futura is a self-initiated digital fashion collection exploring how cultural memory survives in virtual space. Rooted in Filipino heritage, the project reinterprets traditional motifs and ancestral symbolism through speculative garments and artifacts. Central to the collection are “digital relics”, symbolic accessories that function as narrative objects within the Pamana Futura world, carrying fragments of cultural memory and meaning that inform the lore of each look. The project asks: what does inheritance look like when identity becomes digital?

Execution
The collection was developed through a hybrid workflow combining 3D design, digital garment creation, and generative AI tools. During the development of the project, the work coincided with my studies in generative AI, which I used for early concept exploration, visual ideation, tool experimentation, and frame-based animation sequences. Traditional references were translated into futuristic forms through digital fashion techniques, while the relic objects acted as narrative anchors within the collection’s world-building framework.

Results
Pamana Futura functions as both a conceptual design project and a personal investigation into heritage, diaspora, and digital identity. By integrating speculative fashion, narrative artifacts, and emerging creative technologies, the work explores how cultural stories can be preserved, transformed, and re-imagined within digital environments.
