About me

I am Irina Akkaya, a Romanian fashion designer.
I am also an experienced educator currently teaching visual arts in Qatar and have a strong background in both fashion design and marketing. Over the years, I have developed my career that combines teaching, creativity, and strategic growth initiatives.

My professional journey began in Romania, where I honed my skills in fashion design through various exhibitions, collaborations, and educational roles. I have had the privilege of showcasing my work at fashion events and exhibitions across Europe and Asia, including origami-based textile collections and creative workshops in places like Romania, Switzerland, Italy, Greece, Qatar and Türkiye. This extensive experience has shaped me into a dynamic and adaptable professional, well-versed in the principles of both the arts and marketing.

In addition to teaching, I have led marketing initiatives that helped expand the reach and reputation of educational institutions and creative projects. I strive to create learning environments that inspire students to explore their artistic potential and think critically about their work.
