Robert Sae-Heng contributed a duo of deliciously detailed illustrations to the first issue of Gail’s magazine, Companion, which is available in bakeries nationwide.

Through short stories, articles and recipes, the bread issue explores the craft of baking along with the realities of growing food in the 21st century.

The editorial illustrations were created for an article on the Terroir of Wheat, encouraging readers to deepen their understanding of flour and its connection to the land by borrowing from the language of wine.⁠
