Independent Age
London
ABOUT
To highlight the devastating impact of fuel poverty on older people, national charity Independent Age has launched a powerful awareness campaign featuring a life-sized ice sculpture of 68-year-old cab driver Rob Trewhella, who can’t afford to heat his home. Created by creative agency Truant and broadcast specialists The Markettiers, the sculpture will appear on 12th February on London’s Southbank, outside the Tate Modern. With 1.7 million pensioners expected to go without heating this winter, the campaign aims to spotlight the harsh reality of financial hardship in later life and raise awareness and funds through a wider social media drive.
