ABOUT

Letterpress perpetual calendar, composed by hand with lead type only - Neon by Nebiolo - and beautifully printed by Archivio Tipografico in Turin. I designed this calendar with Neon since I love its changing width/height ratio at different body sizes.
I used this feature to set weekdays in different languages on top of each other, while numbers for days and months use a bigger body size. The date can be set the Italian way (day/month) or the American way (month/day).
The paper is Fedrigoni Materica 360 gr, edge painted by hand.
On the cover you can see a digital illustration, then printed with a cliché. Infinity symbol: what's more perpetual than this? 0 and 1 numbers, accurately digitally re-designed following the original Neon design, used to write "Perpetual Calendar" with ASCII binary characters.
Limited edition: 50 pcs.
