John and Mary Jones are a married couple in their mid thirties. They have two children: Sarah is ten years old and Jack six. Their new home is in a rural location, forty minutes from a large city. It is approached by a winding, tree-lined country road.The back of this country home faces south while the front is faced in cut limestone, surrounded by beautiful trees.
John is a successful, local businessman, who owns his own consultancy. Mary helps to run her husband’s business from home. She is a talented cook and enjoys having friends and family around for big, informal lunch parties on a regular basis. She looks on the kitchen and dining area as the heart of the home.
They have a Labrador dog, who likes to be indoors as often as possible! Mary tries to keep him outside, but the children like to allow him the run of the house whenever possible. Mary is reasonably relaxed about that, as she feels a home is meant to be a child-friendly and happy nest.

For their house I have designed a modern country look, with lots of floral fabrics and wide-board oak floors and deep, comfortable sofas and armchairs. For the kitchen the look says : comfortable, family friendly, warm and casual. They can enjoy the beautiful view from the window at the breakfast table and make the most of the fully equipped kitchen in a mix of various creams, greens and rusty reds surrounding.
