ABOUT

Drinks in refrigerators take too long to cool - over 3 hours in some cases - and use up far too much energy doing so. It’s a problem the refrigeration industry has been trying to solve for years. Many attempts have been made to develop rapid cooling for pre-packed beverages because beverages do not need to be chilled 24/7. The problem with chilling drinks rapidly is that ice forms in the outer layer of liquid before the inner liquid is chilled. The way to overcome this is to mix the liquid as it is being chilled. However, as many drinks are carbonated this leads to fizzing when the drink is opened.
