About me

I graduated from University College London in Summer 2008 with a 2:1 degree in Computer Science. I believe I am very well qualified and suitable for this post. I have the following qualities: Excellent interpersonal skills: I am comfortable working with people at all levels within the organisations I have worked for. Good communication skills: I possess good listening, oral and written communication skills. This is evident from my achievement in school where I attained an ‘Aâ€(TM) grade in English speaking/listening and an ‘A*â€(TM) in English Language at GCSE level, as well as a ‘Bâ€(TM) grade at A level. Good technical skills: I am highly IT literate and proficient in a range of desktop packages. Through personal study and general interest, I have become very comfortable using (and learning) various desktop IT packages such as Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Photoshop, HTML, Flash, Dreamweaver, and various navigating tools for example Internet Explorer, Firefox and have some basic Java skills. I also have experience using content management systems (CMS) to maintain/update content of websites. Good organisational skills: I am a well organised person, always planning ahead and building in time for the unexpected. A good team player: I work well in teams and can also take forward tasks on my own. Furthermore, I always contribute well to the work of my team. Flexible: I am flexible and always willing to help and support others as and when required to do so.I have always had a keen interest in generally supporting and assisting others, demonstrated in my varied job experiences such as working as an Office assistant, Sales assistant, Shop Assistant, Assistant Coach and Voluntary Maths Tutor. Though these roles may have differed in their job descriptions, they all require good people and team working skills which I possess in abundance. Therefore, I am looking for a job which combines my personal skills with my technical (IT) skills. My interest in the role advertised derives from the fact that I believe the position matches the skills I possess. These skills include technical, editorial and presentation skills. This role would also give me a chance to develop these existing skills further, as well as enabling me to explore various aspects of the web/online industry.
