This has been a long term project of mine. a 3D model of a Caribbean reef octopus,
that from time to time I go back to and make improvements to.
The latest upgrade is for my entry to these Creative Pool awards.
The scene was created entirely in CGI , using 3D Max Z-Brush and Photoshop. from the texture maps on the octopus to the refractions through the water surface.
The main purpose of creating this was to challenge and devolop my CGI skills, but also to sell the model online, and create a few images for Stock Libraries.

The 3D model of this is available to purchase at CGTrader.
I’m calling it 3D Study of an octopus. It is specifically a Caribbean Reef octopus.
