Illustrator Angelica Yiacoupis had the honor of being selected as one the final 30 of Buro Four's art competition and featured in their Thirty for Thirty book. Each artist was ‘allocated’ a project. Angelica was fortunate enough to be assigned the Boldrewood Campus of the University of Southampton.

The campus’ focus on maritime engineering and engineering sciences served as her inspiration. The illustration's look and feel mimics that of a blueprint line drawing similar to what an engineer would create. Wittingly using iconic imagery such as gears, pulleys and a ship, Angelica creates a maritime and scientific world within a test tube. Finally, the piece is expertly finished with the subtle representation of the periodic table in the top right hand corner. Congratulations Angelica!
