Google was evolving the positioning of its Chrome Enterprise offering and sought to realize their vision for a website that brings the quality of the experience in line with an ambitious future for Chrome Enterprise products. As such, the existing experience would need to be split into two web properties to enable more space for purposeful storytelling, allowing each product’s (ChromeOS & Chrome Enterprise Browser) story and brand to shine.
Chrome is a well-recognized, established brand, with high adoption rates across businesses of all sizes. However, this audience was leaving functionality and capabilities on the table. ChromeOS and Chrome Enterprise Browser offer advanced functionality, paid features, and management tools that can be leveraged to protect modern business operations and devices more effectively. So, we set out to help improve the adoption and awareness of these Chrome Enterprise offerings with two new impactful experiences. Our goal: to enable the changemakers to work without limits.
Our no-limits outlook allowed us to reimagine a place where businesses of all sizes, with different objectives, can succeed. In order to accommodate these disparate ambitions, we created two sites on one system that scales, built for efficiency, speed, and impact. We designed a robust component library with two distinctive theme builds for the Chrome Enterprise brand, splitting the original Enterprise site to make it easier for different audiences with different needs to access. But all that efficiency didn’t mean we couldn’t make the experience sparkle. We had to create two distinct visual directions to ensure quick identification, and along the way, we ensured all user interactions would be simple, helpful, and fun. Next, we created stylized UI and device photography and led our messaging with bold, simple typography. To date, we’ve created 56 components, seven custom dev animations, and 32 pages… with more to come.
