The client wanted black and white, hand-drawn illustrations for his children's story - 'Daylight Robbery' - and came to me as he knew that medium was one of my specialisms. The illustrations had to be minimalistic, emotive, and quirky, and not "too scary".

The drawings I created represent key elements or symbols in the story - pirates, wind turbines, the feeling of falling, etc. They were drawn on bristol board using pencil, fine liner pens, and ink with some clean up in Photoshop. The book will be produced as an e-Book through Amazon Kindle.
