Clare Nicolson/Props & Styling for: "Made You Look" Campaign.
The brief and art direction for this project came from The Grid and photography was by Damien Russell. The concept was to convey a message of quality, handmade, well designed furniture and homewares but in an unconventional way. They wanted images that were quite surreal and used conventional, regular objects that were treated/styled in an irregular way to make people stop and look at the ad... this was the basis for the 'Made You Look' campaign. For this campaign we chose to use tools that conveyed craftsmanship and had a quality/handmade feel and paint them in pastel colours. The colours for the campaign were chosen to compliment the furniture/products but to also make attractive colour combinations to make people stop and look at the advert.
