Parasites is an ongoing project that creates opportunities for artists who are at odds with the status quo. Much like parasites in the natural world, we select a host to transmute through subversive tactics and imagination.

The first 'residency' in the series was with London's public transport system, TFL. In rejection of boredom and alienation, a group of artists put forward visions of desire for what the tube could be. They imagined TFL as a place to find love, to play, to dream, to time travel, and more. The residency culminated in a multi-hour performance, which saw these works installed on trains and in stations. They are windows into and artefacts from imaginaries that invite viewers to venture deeper within, or beyond themselves into time, space, and unexpected encounters.
