About me

Since graduating in 2003 with an honours BA in Graphic Design I have confidently and successfully sustained employment as a freelance illustrator in Cork City, Ireland. My wrok is contemporary conceptual illustraion, using a process of stages and mediums from collage through to pen and ink. I am a founding member of The Marlboro Collective; a diverse union of 5 artists involved in independent studio practise and collective workshops. We achieved recognition as a productive team having organised and exhibited in 4 group shows. Also, under the banner Villa k the Marlboro Collective concieved and implemented Cork Citys first live-in artists run project and viewing space, facilitating artists outside of the collective.

I have been an illustrator for Karnival magazine sine 2004, a free monthly independent zine focusing on all aspects of youth culture created by my peers. Assisted in the production and distribution of the magazine also.

Have relevant experience collaberation with writers with the aim of producing a book for publication. Was commissioned to illustrate a an english poetry revision book for the Leaving Certificate syllabus 2006. The brief required a more contemporary image for the book.

Having exhausted almost all avenues in Cork City I have recently moved to London in search of work in the creative industry. Already I am enthusiatic and excited by London and would love to carry this over to a wrking enviroment.
