ABOUT
52 min. Feature documentary in English and Afrikaans with English subtitles.
A prophetic dream about a cancer spreading leads a women to investigate where the nuclear waste is being taken to in South Africa. She follows the route the trucks take from the local nuclear power station into the desert, where she meets the tribal indigenous people on whose land the waste is buried, and who are being employed as workers at the dump. She speaks to them in their round basket huts and discovers that there have been leaks. She then takes the investigation further, to speak to industry experts and academics. She looks into energy alternatives and discovers a truly wholistic understanding of why South Africa is currently facing- an energy crisis. Political power goes hand in hand with nuclear power.
The film was screened on 5 continents at various film festivals.
