ABOUT

Wild Brew is a self-initiated packaging collection exploring the ecological narratives of coffee origins.

The project comprises two designs: Wild Mountain and Cloud Forest. Wild Mountain (Ethiopian Highlands), features the coffee plant, Abyssinian White-eye bird, Ethiopian highlands landscape with a shade tree. Cloud Forest (Colombian), showcases coffee plant, Inga and Erythrina (chachafruto) shade trees, Andean Emerald hummingbird, and Heliconius butterfly.

The concept combines deep botanical research with design methodology, hand-drawn ink illustration layered with digital colouring. The result is a complete visual system that positions speciality coffee as an artisan product, grounded in place and ecological story rather than passing trends.

In today's world, 'sustainability' is such an overused word, yet it is a concept that brands cannot ignore. Wild Brew reveals speciality coffee's sustainability and authenticity through illustration -portraying the landscape, with shade trees and endemic birds that make shade-grown coffee ecologically valuable. The design itself becomes evidence of research and ecological thinking, which consumers can look into deeper through the interactive QR code on the reverse.
