About me
My commitment and experience for online media is considerable; including technical skills (having worked on 3 content migrations), content (editorial and copywriter skills), client management, community liaison, stakeholder engagement and managerial responsibilities (project management), including managing a team of four.
I have worked across genres and work sectors, including the private sector (advertising and tv/film production) and the public sector, including the British Government and at local level; regional council. I have a wide knowledge of web standards and community engagement - including the monitoring of forums and being included and creating steering committees; at a central and local government level. I have encouraged buy-in from partners within government and the not-for-profit sector for content contributions.
I successfully transfered my skills from the Government sector into advertising to work on the launch of a new commercial website (*) and further extended my skills as the project was completely developed in-house. This required extensive technical and design knowledge and planning, on my behalf, as the project had build dependencies, where all components were assembled at the same time. This also included a major content migration.
I also understand and have extensive experience of CMS systems, XML, CSS, HTML, video encoding and streaming technologies and graphic creation.
