ABOUT

Regarded as one of the most beautiful libraries in the world, the Royal Portuguese Reading Room (Real Gabinete Português de Leitura) sits in the heart of the beautiful jungle, city paradise of Rio de Janeiro. Holding the largest collection of Portuguese literature outside of Portgual, the library is steeped in culture and stands as an elegant example of the 18th Century Neo-Manueline style. We travelled to Brazil back in March to capture the majesty of the building.

Aims and objectives:

To showcase the library and it's historical values in both the local area and to promote tourism in the area.
