ABOUT

The Body Shop’s COMMUNITY FAIR TRADE PROGRAMME exists to fight for a fairer and more beautiful world.

Connecting with artisans, farmers, and makers around the world, through 18 separate initiatives.

Fair prices are paid, offering favourable trade terms, targeted producer support and access to an international trade market. Suppliers also receive an additional fund to invest in community projects such as education, healthcare and sanitation.

This mini-documentary series highlights just a few of the key partnerships.

As the creator, strategist and creative director for this series, I knew we needed to connect directly with the individuals positioned at the heart and soul of the community, rather than tell the story through the voice of the brand. This is about being invited into their world, being taken on a journey, with individuals positioned at the heart and soul of the community.

Here are the first three films from the series, all the way from Kathmandu, Nepal (Gift Packaging), Nanyuki, Mount Kenya (Tea Tree), and Tamale, Ghana (Shea Butter).
