For the past three years Aviva Investors has produced an extremely successful piece of annual content called ‘The Little Book of Data’. Each year they showcase the most beautiful, concise, and informative data visuals and aim to give investors a different perspective on the world and help guide their thinking.

Clients – institutional and wholesale alike – have universally liked it. However, they had struggled to fully recreate the physical coffee-table book production value into the digital realm.

In the middle of the global pandemic, and with most of the world in isolation, Aviva Investors wanted a way to engage staff and investors with all the facts like never before – and give everyone a break from the strange ‘new normal’ for a moment. So we decided to experiment with virtual reality. ‘The Little World of Data’ was born.

‘The Little World of Data’ moves the physical coffee-table book into the digital world. Utilising 3D animation which is brought to life through VR headsets in an immersive film experience, hosted via YouTube.
