Brief
Develop a contemporary Indian ethnic-wear look inspired by Indian cultural heritage, while exploring a more modern approach to traditional silhouettes and garment construction.

Concept & Approach
Inspired by temple sculptures, classical dance and the idea of Mohini, I explored movement, femininity and sculptural forms through an ivory-and-gold palette. Creative pattern cutting was used to reinterpret the blouse and kurta (tunic) rather than following conventional Indian-wear construction.

Outcome
Developed and constructed the garments from concept through final execution, including pattern development, material selection and styling. The final looks combine traditional Indian references with a contemporary, understated silhouette.
