Brief
Develop a cohesive collection of original embroidery and textile surface designs based on a given creative concept, and explore their application on garments.

Concept & Approach
Inspired by alchemy, transformation and the symbolism of the cauldron, I developed motifs around creation, destruction and rebirth. Gold, black and contrasting textures were explored through embroidery, appliqué and surface manipulation.

Development
Experimented with different embroidery techniques, motifs, textures, scales and placements before translating the developed surfaces onto garment designs.

Outcome
A collection of textile surface designs developed as garment applications, combining embroidery and experimental surface techniques to create a cohesive visual language.
