About me
Dear Sir/Madam,
I write to you in regards to the role advertised for a Retail Project Co-ordinator.
I am very interested in this position because I feel that the skills and experience I have gained throughout my employment, specifically the last few years which has had a strong project coordination focus, would very much suit this role. As a Distance Learning Course Manager, I was responsible for supporting over 1,500 professionals throughout the course lifecycle, from the production of educational materials to ensure course content is fit-for-purpose to supporting students on the learning management system or by phone and email. I have become highly accustomed to consistently delivering a high level of service, introducing new clients as well as maintaining good relationships with existing ones. I act as one of the main points of communication, a role requiring a solid understanding of the company's processes and practices, and a high level of industry knowledge.
I have learnt to manage a variety of tasks simultaneously, ensuring deadlines, quality expectations, costs and client expectations are met. I pride myself on my excellent time management and organisational skills, and I believe these skills would enable me to make a positive and effective contribution to the team. Over the last three years I had taken responsibility for managing the division's largest course, initially running it single-handedly. I implemented procedures which significantly improved the running of the course and continue to be effective to this day.
Within project management working as a team is key to making the project successful, as well as having belief in the skills of those around you and working collaboratively. Part of my current role includes keeping various SME's, developers and instructional designers line with the project schedule to ensure projects are produced on time as well as being a strong team player and helping where needed. I have built a reputation as a dependable, adaptable, hard-working and enthusiastic individual. These attributes aid my transition into new teams, where I am capable of quickly adopting new and unfamiliar working practices and methods.
I very much want to pursue a career within project management and believe this role would be ideal, as there are many similarities between this new role and my current position and I feel this will enable me to make a quick and smooth transition. I am very keen to work in this sector and I can build upon my knowledge of coordinating projects and apply my ability as a strong organiser to hit the ground running in this new role.
Thank you for considering my application. I look forward to hearing from you in due course.
Yours Faithfully,
Hannah Whitty
