ABOUT
A series of digital screen-based interactives exploring heritages and discovery for the new Egypt and Asia galleries at the National Museum of Scotland.
Afterlife was an illustrative narrative-driven game that took visitors on a journey through the fraught dangers of the Ancient Egyptian Afterlife. The user has to overcome 3 challenges to survive the Afterlife and return their spirit to the tomb.
Build a Pyramid is a touch-screen interactive in the Egypt gallery, which uses a colourful but clear simple layout with vibrant and light-hearted animated graphics to create a fun and lively setting, allowing users to create their own pyramid through a simple holistic choice-based game format giving the visitor the freedom to explore how pyramids were built in Ancient Egypt.
Hieroglyphs is a simple touch-screen interactive enabling visitors to create an Ancient Egyptian name by selecting hieroglyphs. The name is then carved onto a monument reminiscent of the surrounding items in the museum, explaining the direction and makeup of words in Ancient Egypt.
